Valencia CF played versus Celta Vigo on Saturday at 8:45 (CET) kick-off time at Balaidos on Matchday 20 of LaLiga Santander. Valencia CF had a good start with Francis Coquelin getting the first from distance which was saved by the keeper.
Ten minutes later, Rodrigo sent it high after a great ball by Denis Cherysev with a first time shot then Rodrigo Moreno and Santi Mina combined but was stopped as he was about to get his shot away. Rodrigo got the rebound which was saved by the keeper. Soler had the best chance with a great shot inside the area which was again saved by the keeper.
Néstor Araújo made it 1-0 for Celta Vigo in the 39th minute of the first half heading it in. Dani Parejo had the last kick of the half which was saved by Rubén Blanco in the 45th minute of the match. The first half finished 1-0 to Celta Vigo.
Valencia CF came out in the second half looking to make it 1-1 in the second half. Ezequiel Garay had two chances but it was Ferran Torres who levelled it up with a great left-footed shot chesting it down and firing it into the bottom left corner on the half volley after a great cross from Gayà.
Rodrigo Moreno completed the fight-back with a delightful combination between Dani Parejo, Kevin Gameiro who squared into Rodrigo Moreno who pushed it in with six minutes of normal time to play. The match finished 1-2 for Valencia CF who lifted themselves up to 7th position in LaLiga table. Valencia CF will play versus Getafe CF on Tuesday 22nd of January at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals at 10 pm kick-off time.
